Limitless Wrestling Academy Presents
“GROUND ZERO”
1/21/2018
Pre-Show
- Before the show began, Michael Hayden himself was seen verifying presold tickets as well as handling walk-ups. Ashley Cross was also on hand, assisting where needed. Merchandise tables were already set up, with many of the new students manning the tables and providing security. The only talent that were available for pictures before the show were Shoot Nation and Marilyn Lee Cross, which led for an awkward interaction until Ash took up her sister’s side. Battleborn were quick to follow, only for Maverick and Ice Man to claim innocence.
- As the show began, Michael Hayden entered the ring to cheers from the crowd. Promising not to take too much time, he thanked the crowd for coming before promising them a night of action. This brought out “The GOAT” Jake Archer, who merely gave Hayden a passing glance before going through the rest of his entrance. Hayden simply smirked before heading to the back as Archer awaited his opponent.
Results
Romeo Black defeated Jake Archer at 11:27 by pinfall via Blackout (Handspring Shiranui)
The match was a high flying affair, as both men felt more comfortable in the air rather than on the ground. Archer took advantage after crotching Black on the turnbuckle, working over the right leg. Black tried fighting back, but the damage done held him from delivering the killing blow on several occasions. It wasn’t until Archer went for The Move I Beat The World With (Handspring Shiranui) that Black found the opening he needed, holding Archer in the air before throwing him to the ground. Disoriented from the move, Archer never saw Black bounce off the ropes, delivering the Blackout for the three. Post-match Archer threw a fit, shoving students away from him before storming to the back.

Before the match began, Koji removed his mask, revealing a new look for the former Pirate Boss. The colorful hair and new attire weren’t the only new things about him, as he wrestled a more technical match as compared to his usual brawling theatrics. Spectre seemed up to the challenge, mixing in his high-flying abilities as well. However, the Futuristic Pirate would not be denied tonight, breaking down Spectre before locking in Set Sail for the victory.
The bell had just finished ringing when Jake Archer hit the ring, stomping away at Koji before demanding a mic. Declaring that he came here to win tonight, he challenged Koji to a fight right now. Michael Hayden hit the ring, ordering Archer to the back before Koji yelled that he accepted! The fight was on!
Special Challenge Match: Koji Uchiha defeated Jake Archer at 6:03 via DQ
Whatever technical skill Koji displayed previously was forgotten as he took Archer down, throwing wild punches. This anger played into Archer’s plan, as he was able to jam a thumb in Koji’s eye as the ref tried to seperate the two. Archer used every cheap shot imaginable, but Koji stayed in the match, fighting back when he could. It was when Koji looked to gain momentum that Spectre interfered, blinding Koji with mist to draw the DQ. Archer seemed shocked, but gladly accepted the help before the two began to stomp away at Koji. Archer delivered The Move I Beat The World With (Handspring Shiranui) before Spectre flew off the top, delivering a frog splash. Archer and Spectre shook hands, seemingly forming a new alliance as students helped Koji to the back.

Intermission
The merchandise tables were full of talent, with Battleborn and the Cross Sisters placed as far away from Shoot Nation as possible. Ashley in particular seemed excited for the main event, Marilyn having to remind her to calm down at times. Tommy Drake spoke to several fans ahead of his upcoming debut match, taking photos with them and having a good time. Conspicuous by his absence was Michael Hayden, though fans seemed to accept it without question.
Marilyn Lee Cross & Battleborn (James Price & Angel Torres {O}) defeated Daniel Greystone {X} & Shoot Nation (Maverick & Ice Man) at 15:49 by pinfall via Ragnarok
Tensions were high going into this one, as Shoot Nation had seemingly gotten into their opponents head during the preshow. Maverick and Ice Man used this to their advantage, managing to isolate James Price and work him over after weathering the initial beatdown. Greystone held his own as well, managing to work over Price before being tagged by Ice Man, who seemed to not welcome his partner. This tension led to an argument between Greystone and his partners, allowing Price enough time to recover and tag out to Angel Torres! Torres cleared the ring, tossing his opponents with ease before grabbing Maverick, looking to finish him off. As he prepared for the powerbomb, Ice Man attacked, saving his partner. Cross and Price came to his aid, prompting Greystone to enter as well. A huge brawl erupted, ending with Greystone and Cross taking each other down with a double clothesline. Both crawled to their respective corners, only for Shoot Nation to drop off the apron and head to the back, waving off the match. Greystone looked in disbelief before being attacked by Price, setting him up for the Ragnarok for the victory.

Proving Grounds Match: Michael Hayden defeated Tommy Drake at 12:31 by submission via Limitless Lock (Crossface Chickenwing)
Michael Hayden stepped out to one of the loudest pops of the night, a look of pride in his eyes before entering the ring. To his credit, Drake got a respectable amount of cheers, looking as though he was absolutely ready for the match. Introductions were then made, with both men getting streamers. Drake seemed surprised by this while Hayden simply nodded at the fans, appreciating the gesture.
Once the bell rang, both men looked to establish themselves, with Drake eager to prove himself to his trainer. From there the two had a solid back and forth, with Drake on the defense for most of the match. Hayden had several opportunities to finish the match, but constantly held back, demanding that Drake bring the fight. As he did, Drake surprised him with an open palm strike before following through with the move, connecting with a back elbow. Drake began to rally, connecting with several high impact moves before capping it off with a running Shooting Star Press that got a close two. Drake looked to finish it off, hoisting Hayden to his feet before setting him up for a ripcord-style move. As Drake pulled him in, Hayden leapt up with a knee, stunning the newcomer. From there, the Limitless Lock followed, drawing the submission victory.

Post-match, both men received a standing ovation from the crowd. Hayden was the first to his feet before pulling Drake up, embracing him to the delight of the crowd. Hayden raised Drake’s hand to cheers, only for them to turn into boos as a man in a hoodie slid into the ring, attacking both men. Drake was tossed to the outside before the man pulled off his jacket, revealing himself to be The Invisible Man! With hate in his eyes, The Invisible Man began to stomp away at Hayden before pulling him up, spitting in his face before setting up the Judgement DDT. He quickly let go, however, as the majority of the roster ran out to help their mentor. Escaping the ring, The Invisible Man fled into the night as Koji and Romeo checked on Hayden while Battleborn helped Drake. As he stood, Hayden grabbed a mic, swearing that this incident wouldn’t ruin the evening. Praising the efforts of the wrestlers to this point, Hayden announced that it was time for the main event!
Main Event
Joe Stanton vs. Ashley Cross
Much like the previous match, both individuals received special introductions as the crowd cheered wildly for both. Joe in particular received undoubtedly the biggest pop, a smile on the face of the Guy In Shades as he was showered in streamers.
Both traded the advantage in the opening minutes, the feeling out process replaced by a contest to see who could hit harder. Joe won quickly, punctuating it with the Rock ‘N Roll (belly to belly suplex) that had Cross roll to the outside. Having recuperated, Ashley slid back into the ring, surprising Joe by throwing herself at him before throwing rights and lefts. Having stunned him briefly, Ash connected with a running European Uppercut, looking to chip away at her opponent. Ash controlled the next few minutes, sticking to a “hit and run” strategy that frustrated Joe to no end. It was another attempt at a European Uppercut that turned the tide, as Joe avoided contact before dumping her with a German Suplex. Turnabout was fair play, as Joe looked to wear her down with several suplexes in rapid succession, ending with a huge spinebuster that got a two. Signalling for the end, Joe lifted Ash up for the Tombstone, only for Ash to wiggle out, landing on her feet behind him. A Poison-rana left Joe wide open for the Limit Push (Shadows Over Hell), with Ashley transitioning into the Limit Break (Nagata Lock III)! Joe looked close to tapping before rolling over into a pin, using his body weight to keep Ash’s shoulders down for the three!
Post match Ashley released the hold, frustration clearly on her face as she tries to leave the ring. She doesn’t make it far before Joe grabs her hand, stopping the young wrestler before raising her hand to cheers from the crowd. Ashley nods at Joe before rolling out of the ring, letting him have his moment.
Joe thanks the crowd for their support tonight before praising the roster, making sure to single out Ashley as someone to watch. He ends by stating that he may be back down the road, eager to see how far the roster has come.
Post-Show
- The merchandise tables were once again full as the fans got to interact with the wrestlers. Shoot Nation seemed to refuse to answer any questions about their match, being placed as far away from their opponents and from Greystone as possible. A few fans challenged James Price to an arm-wrestling contest while others posed with the Cross Sisters. The meet and greet with Joe Stanton had the biggest line, as fans were eager to meet the former FIW Fighting Spirit Champion. Hayden was also seen shaking hands and posing for pictures, though seemed content to stay in the background and let his students take center stage.
- It was as he was admiring his talent that a special guest appeared, as Anna Mathews stepped out of her TARDIS before hitting him in the arm.
