Limitless Wrestling Academy Presents
Grand Prix Night Four
April 22nd, 2018
Pre-Show
- With the series coming to a close, many fans spent much of the pre-show discussing who would move on to the semifinals. Erik Holland was the clear favorite to win Block A, with Migeru Takahashi, Clay Krueger, and Michael Hayden close behind. Block B was harder to ascertain, as Starr and Joe Stanton were both close to the top, with Honey and KJB close behind as well.
- Still citing a “clear and present danger” to his well-being, KJB had Limitless students shield him away from fans and other wrestlers, notably Yoji Kojima.
- Ashley Cross could be seen giving Izzy Van Doren the side eye, the two announced as competing against one another at Rose City Wrestling’s Chapter 15 event alongside Lisa Seldon.
- Skye Healy was seen speaking with Michael Hayden before the show, the two engaged in a deep conversation that ended with smiles from both.

Joe Stanton (2-1) vs. Yoji Kojima (1-2)
Perhaps fueled by anger over his loss at the last show, Yoji entered this match like a house of fire, swarming Joe quickly and letting out his frustrations. The crowd were absolutely stunned as Joe make the quick cover, getting the victory in surprising fashion

Izzy Van Doren (0-3) vs. Spectre (0-3)
Both competitors seemed to be shocked by the quick match that just occurred, both seeming out of sorts in the early going. Jake Archer continued to be by Spectre’s side, distracting the ref at certain points and allowing Spectre to cheat his way back in the match. Izzy kept fighting back, nearly getting the victory after catching Spectre with Adios, Amigos (Headlock Driver), only for Archer to pull the ref out at the last possible moment. Archer began to argue with the ref until he was ordered to the back, drawing a huge cheer from the crowd. Inside the ring, Izzy went to pick Spectre up, only to be surprised by a small package for what many considered the upset victory. Archer collected Spectre from the ring, the duo laughing as they stole one from Izzy Van Doren.
Result: Spectre (1-3) defeated Izzy Van Doren (0-4) at 8:48 by pinfall via Small Package
Block B Match
Aaron Gresham (1-2) vs. Honey (1-2)
Both competitors seemed to be at ease given their standings in the tournament, sharing a lighthearted handshake before circling up. The lightheartedness continued into the match, as Gresham turned to his usual antics as a way to get the upper hand. Honey seemed to take it in stride, staying focused while Gresham continued to try and outwit her, even managing to kick out of Shenanigans (Russ Abbot) at two. Honey managed to dodge a Nicaraguan Kick before grabbing Gresham’s arms, trying to force him down for the Chica-Wing Lock (Cattle Mutilation). Gresham rolled through the move before turning back to Honey, only to be planted into the mat with Honey’s Ultimagic! Gresham began to flail around, desperate to reach the ropes as Honey pulled tighter on the choke. Gresham went for a last ditch attempt, planting his feet and trying to lift his opponent, only to tap out with Honey hovering over the mat.

Gresham seemed to accept his loss in stride, shaking hands with Honey before personally purchasing one of her shirts and immediately wearing it. Elsewhere, Jake Archer and Spectre were loudly celebrating their victory, oblivious to the stares from the fans and Joe Stanton. Migeru Takahashi also interacted with fans, taking photos with several starstruck fans.
Tag Team Match
They Mighty Now Thrive (Null & Kid Terra) vs. Wily Etnies & “Knee Drop” Nate Jones
Many fans were surprised when Wily Etnies and Knee Drop Nate made their way to the ring, figuring that there wouldn’t be any non-tournament matches for tonight. Their confusion gave way to cheers as The Mighty Now Thrive made their way to the ring, slapping hands with the fans. Once the match began, Wily and Nate managed to isolate Null, working over the younger member of the team while letting our mocking wolf calls. It was as Nate went for his patented King Kong Knee Drop that Null rolled out of the way, making the tag to Kid Terra as Nate hobbled to his feet. Terra took down both men with dropkicks before scaling the ropes, diving down onto Wily with a flying crossbody. Nate managed to recover from his damaged knee to attack Terra as he entered the ring, taking him down with an exploder suplex before climbing the ropes once more. As he went for the King Kong Knee Drop, Null appeared out of nowhere, springboarding off the ropes and connecting with a hurricanrana that sent Nate crashing to the mat. From there, the Shellshock (Double Stomp/Cradle Shock Combo) gave them the victory as Wily left the ringside area in disgust.
Result: The Mighty Now Thrive (Kid Terra & Null) defeated Wily Etnies & Nate Jones at 9:53 by pinfall via Shellshock (Double Stomp/Cradle Shock Combo)
Block A Match
Michael Hayden (2-1) vs. Migeru Takahashi (2-1)
With both men closing in on the top spot, a win here would potentially position them at the top of the bracket. Knowing this, both men exploded out of the gate, looking for the kill with each strike. As the minutes ticked by the attacks seemed more desperate, both men desperate to pick up the victory. A stinging chop to Hayden broke skin, while a vicious middle kick left Migeru gasping for air. Hayden signaled for the end, raising a hand in the air in preparation for the Hand of God (Spinning backfist). As Hayden swung, Migeru ducked underneath before grabbing Hayden, connecting with the Spotlight (Wristlock Lariat). Both men were down as the crowd urged them to their feet, desperate to see someone win. As this was going on, Koji Uchiha made his way down to ringside, simply staring at Migeru as he used the ropes to stand. Migeru stared curiously at Koji, asking him what he was doing. Koji simply smiled as Hayden appeared behind Migeru, locking in the Limitless Lock and drawing the tap out.

Block B Match
Kenneth James Bradford (2-1) vs. Starr (2-1)
Much like the previous match, a win here would propel either man to the top of their bracket, putting them at a distinct advantage to move on to the semifinals. Starr looked to make the most of this, the youngster quick to take the fight to his opponent. Much like his previous matches, KJB went for the legs, managing to cut Starr down during a springboard attack before looking to neutralize his opponent. Softening him up with leg locks, KJB signaled for the end, loudly declaring he was going to end Starr’s chances once and for all. As he hooked Starr up for the Heat Stroke (Pumphandle Half Nelson Driver), Yoji Kojima came storming down to the ring, prompting several students to try and prevent him from interfering. KJB began to yell at Yoji, demanding that the students take him to the back. KJB turned back around, only to be hoisted in the air and dropped with the Noggin Knocker (Ushigoroshi). Starr fought through the pain in his leg, scaling the ropes before connecting with a beautiful Shooting Starr Press to claim the victory.
Result: Starr (3-1) defeated Kenneth James Bradford (2-2) at 12:17 by pinfall via Shooting Starr Press
Main Event
Block A Match
Erik Holland (3-0) vs. Clay Krueger (2-1)
These two last met at March’s One Badd Day, where Clay managed to pick up the win in an amazing main event. While the thought was fresh in Holland’s mind, the two began cautiously, knowing the stakes were high. Clay focused his attacks on the arm once again, using his technical prowess to gain the early advantage. Holland wouldn’t go down so easily, fighting through before overwhelming Clay with his power game. Neither man kept the advantage for too long, and as the minutes ticked by the attacks grew less measured and more vicious. Clay managed to counter an attempt at Plan 9 From Outer Space (Superman Punch), dragging Holland down before stomping the arm. Satisfied with his work, Clay moved to the corner, waiting for Holland to make it to his feet. Clay rushed forward for the Chainsaw Blade, only for Holland to catch him with the Toxic Avenger! Clay managed to roll out of the ring as Holland clutched his arm, struggling to fight through the pain. Making it to his feet, Holland went to grab Clay, only for Clay to hang him over the ropes, taking Holland down. Clay quickly scaled the ropes, crashing down with the Fin Del Mundo (End of the World) for the win.
