The Invitational
Jana Rikar vs. Romeo Black
Romeo entered the match with more confidence than last seen, quickly locking up with Jana only to slide behind her and shove her away. Smiling, Romeo went to go for another lock up, only for Jana to connect with a sharp right that sent Romeo stumbling back. From there, the action picked up heavily, as Romeo and Jana traded the advantage. Romeo capitalized on Jana’s relative inexperience, occasionally pausing during his attacks to play to the crowd. It was as he turned to yell that Jana struck, connecting with a jawbreaker that left Romeo wide open for a follow up Running Bulldog. Gathering steam, Jana scaled the ropes, flying off for the Death From Above (Diving Elbow Drop) that got her a close two. Sensing the end, Jana looked to connect with the Feat of Demolition (Double Foot Eat Defeat), but Romeo shoved her as she turned, connecting with a pump kick that left Jana out. Sizing her up, Romeo went for the Blackout (Handspring Shiranui), only for Jana to impressively catch him in mid-air with the Phoenix Pull (Bully Choke)! Romeo struggled, but Jana leaned far back, drawing the submission.
Result: Jana Rikar defeated Romeo Black at 9:16 by submission via Phoenix Pull (Bully Choke)
Special Challenge Match
Ashley Cross vs. Honey
The two ladies shared a nod to one another as the bell rang, somewhat familiar with each other after last month’s tag match. Ashley struggled to gain her footing in the early going, as Honey built up momentum quickly. An early attempt at Honey’s Ultimagic (Jumping DDT into Guillotine) was countered into a mat slam as Ashley struggled to gain her bearings. Ash went to work on the legs, looking to take out the base quickly with several stretches that left Honey unable to place weight without grimacing in pain. It was as Ash went for the Limit Push (Shadows Over Hell) that Honey moved out of the way, causing Ash to crash hard on the mat. From there Honey took over, feeding off the crowd’s energy as she began to break Ash down. A Pele Kick looked like it might turn the tide for Ash, but Honey was able to connect with the Hiyah (Running Knee) before locking in the Chica-Wing Lock (Cattle Mutilation) for the submission victory.
Result: Honey defeated Ashley Cross at 12:02 by submission via Chica-Wing Lock (Cattle Mutilation)
The Invitational
Caden Walker vs. Drake
The imposing figure of Caden Walker stood tall, looking down on Drake as the bell rang. Knowing it would be a big task, Drake fired off several right hands before bouncing off the ropes, only to be met with a big clothesline. Staring down almost in curiosity, Caden lifted Drake up before launching him across the ring almost with ease. This scene seemed to repeat itself for the next several minutes, as Caden looked to physically destroy Drake. The South Texas Death Ride (Running Powerbomb) could have ended it, but Caden stopped at two, looking to make a statement. Practically dragging Drake to his feet, Caden delivered another South Texas Death Ride, Drake’s body bouncing off the mat. Caden stared once more before grabbing Drake, lifting him once more. At this, Elijah Cross ran to ringside, throwing in the towel as he demanded the ref call the match. Caden simply smiled as he let Drake crumple to the mat, staring at Elijah as the bell rang.
Result: Caden Walker defeated Drake at 6:39 via forfeiture
Students began to help Drake out of the ring, careful not to move him around too much as they checked on his status. Caden continued to stare at Elijah before heading to the back, passing by a concerned Michael Hayden as the ref threw up the X.
Tag Team Match
Jake Archer & Spectre vs. Erik Holland & Brent Koleman
Spectre and Archer were all smiles as they saw Holland, still suffering the effects of the mist earlier. Koleman looked to take it to his opponents in the early going, managing to build up a good head of steam before a poke to the eye turned the tide. Spectre and Archer took turns beating Koleman down, loudly declaring “this is what happens when you disrespect greatness” to boos from the crowd. Koleman managed to fight back, avoiding a superkick before dumping Archer with a german suplex. Koleman made the desperately needed tag, bringing in a severely pissed off Erik Holland into the mix. Archer and Spectre bounced around the ring as Holland went on the attack, looking to end things quickly. Holland hoisted Archer onto his shoulders, looking for the Toxic Avenger (Attitude Adjustment). As he looked to deliver the move, Spectre popped into the ring, delivering the mist once more! Holland immediately dropped Archer, looking to clear his vision. Koleman came in with a towel to try and aid his partner, only for Holland to mistakenly lift him in the air before delivering the Toxic Avenger! Archer connected with a superkick to Holland before Spectre dived onto Koleman, getting the tainted pinfall victory.
Result: Spectre & Jake Archer defeated Erik Holland & Brent Koleman at 14:29 by pinfall via Toxic Avenger (Attitude Adjustment)
Intermission
Spectre and Archer immediately began to brag about their victory, making sure to stay far away as Holland was tended to by trainees. Koleman could be seen shaking his head as he made his way to the back, frustrated with their tactics. Skye Healy and Marilyn Lee Cross came back out, with many wishing Skye good luck in her Limitless debut. Skye took it all in stride before heading to the merch booth, checking on the progress of Elijah Cross. The two spoke briefly before Skye made her way to the back, holding a Sign of the Cross shirt as she left.
Special Challenge Match
Marilyn Lee Cross vs. Izzy Van Doren
Marilyn Lee Cross vs. Izzy Van Doren
Marilyn Lee Cross entered the ring dressed as Spider-Gwen, receiving cheers from the crowd as she posed on the turnbuckles. Izzy’s music played twice, drawing confusion from fans as Marilyn asked the ref what was going on. All was answered as Aaron Gresham came flying out of the entrance, landing hard on the floor before slowly crawling towards the ring. Izzy slowly trailed after him, murderous intent in her eyes as Gresham tried to escape. Aaron made his way to the merch booth, tossing shirts at Izzy in a vain attempt to stop her in her tracks. Izzy caught a Badd Breed shirt before using it to strangle Gresham, pausing only to kick away at trainees who got too close. Gresham fired off several shots to the ribs before shoving her to the side, running into the ring as MLC looked on in confusion. Izzy gave chase once more, sliding into the ring as Gresham jumped out. Izzy never broke stride, diving through the ropes and onto Gresham. The two continued to brawl throughout ringside before making their way to the back, Izzy still in pursuit.
Result: NO CONTEST
Special Tag Team Match
The Mighty Now Thrive (Kid Terra & Null) vs. Michael Hayden & Skye Healy
Fans cheered as Skye chose to start the match against Null, the wolf and the Luchadorable superstar circling the ring before locking up. The more experienced Null got the first advantage, but Skye persevered, managing to counter a hip toss into an arm drag before a basement dropkick sent Null reeling. Terra tried to come to his partner’s aid, but Hayden was there to meet him, connecting with a forearm shot before flipping him into a chin lock. Skye managed to get Null into a chin lock of her own, which led to a fun spot where Hayden began to coach her on hand placement as well as digging the knee into the back. TMNT fought their way back to their feet, elbowing out of the holds before running off the ropes. Hayden and Skye were ready, connecting with stereo dropkicks that sent TMNT to the outside as the fans cheered.
Kid Terra entered and had far better luck, managing to overwhelm Skye before sending her to make the tag to Hayden. From there Hayden looked to carry the brunt of the work, trading holds with Terra and matching Null’s speed. It was as Hayden looked to set up for Haydenism that TMNT struck, as Terra pulled Null to safety before they both connected with a superkick. Looking to end this, Terra hoisted Null onto his shoulders as Null scaled the ropes. Skye entered the match, launching an impressive dropkick that caught Null and sent him tumbling to the outside. Hayden looked for a victory roll, only for Terra to counter into a pinning predicament of his own before Skye connected with a pump kick. Terra backed into the corner as Skye rushed forward, connecting with the Skye Scraper (Helluva Kick) before tossing him to Hayden. Hayden lifted him up as Skye rushed forward connecting with an Elevated Skye Scraper! Null looked to enter, but Hayden connected with a baseball slide as Skye made the cover, getting the victory.
Result: Skye Healy and Michael Hayden defeated The Mighty Now Thrive (Null & Kid Terra) at 17:38 by pinfall via Elevated Skye Scraper (Helluva Kick)
Main Event
Limitless Title Match
Joe Stanton © vs. Clay Krueger
Both men stood still as the bell rang, staring one another down as the crowd began to buzz. Joe took a step forward, only for Clay to burst out of the corner with an impressive Chainsaw Blade that sent Joe rolling to the outside. Looking to keep the advantage, Clay slid to the outside, following Joe as the two began to brawl around the Sports Complex. Chairs, assorted tables set up, even the merch booth wasn’t safe as the two did battle, the strikes echoing throughout the building as the two looked to put one another down. A Rock ‘N Roll Belly-to-Belly gave Joe the definitive advantage, the champ dragging Clay back to ringside before tossing him in the ring.
Both men were dealing with the effects of the brawl, the strikes slightly lacking as the two continued to do battle. Clay turned the tide following a Goodnight Irene (Zig Zag), forgoing the pin in favor of working over the midsection. The technical savvy of Clay was on display, putting Joe through a variety of stretches to weaken his core. A grounded abdominal stretch looked to spell the end, Clay leaning as far as he could to draw the submission. Joe looked to be on the verge of tapping before making a last-ditch effort, shifting his body so he was in a pinning predicament. Clay released at two, making it to his feet before looking to connect with the Chainsaw Blade once more. As he ran, Joe countered with a rising knee, sending Clay stumbling back. Joe gave him no quarter, attacking with measured lefts before tossing him with a gutwrench suplex. Gaining momentum, Joe picked Clay up, lifting him in the air as fans began to call for Funeral For A Son (Tombstone Piledriver). Clay began to move around, managing to slide out from behind Joe before shoving him forward. As Joe turned around, Clay ran forward for the Chainsaw Blade once again, only for Joe to counter at the last second with the Shoryuken! Clay crumpled to the mat, followed shortly by Joe for the pinfall in a terrific contest.
Result: Joe Stanton © defeated Clay Krueger in 23:19 by pinfall via Shoryuken (Rising Uppercut) to retain the Limitless Title.
